About HVRC

HVRC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

The Hollywood & Vine Recovery Center (HVRC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was established in 1992 by our founder, Dr. Gloria Montgomery. Our outpatient treatment and recovery clinic is located in Chatsworth, C.A. As a DHCS certified program, we offer integrated evidence-based treatments for alcohol use disorder, substance use disorder, adolescent treatment programs, and co-occurring disorders.

Now located in Chatsworth, C.A., our purpose is to facilitate clients looking to recover from their substance misuse or abuse along an individualized and holistic treatment and recovery plan. Through comprehensive care and treatment, we provide individuals with the tools to overcome their dependencies and emerge free to live a sober, free, and fulfilled life.

Outpatient Recovery for those suffering with alcoholism & addictions.

We offer Outpatient Programs (OP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) in a safe, spiritual, and alcohol & drug free environment, that balance the need for addiction care and our client’s need for meaningful and productive engagement with the world. HVRC’s purpose is to facilitate clients looking to recover from their substance abuse disorder along an individualized and holistic treatment and recovery plan that is delivered in an outpatient setting.

The main objective of HVRC is to service the under-served and marginalized populations of adolescents and adults currently lacking adequate and relatable representation within culturally competent substance abuse and mental health treatment solutions; namely, the Black, LGBTQ+, and People of Color populations. In order to enable effective and empathetic services in cross-cultural treatment settings, our commitment to providing culturally competent services is ingrained throughout the entirety of our policies and procedures.

It is the vision of The Hollywood & Vine Recovery Center to fill a marginalized void present in self-help recovery fellowships by diversifying the mental health and addiction treatment and recovery experience. Simultaneously, we envision the cities in the Greater Los Angeles Area currently filled with people lost in the darkness of their addiction, emotional turmoil, and mental suffering, turned into thriving communities of clean & sober individuals self-supporting their lives and thriving, one day at a time.

Studies show that substance use disorder, alcohol use disorder, and mental health suffering are prevalent within marginalized communities, and when coupled with a void in diverse representation among self-help and treatment fellowships, the Hollywood & Vine Recovery Center’s mission and purpose became clear. HVRC’s mission is to actively target the often left out and marginalized Black, LGBTQ+, and People of Color individuals suffering from chronic alcoholism, emotional health, and mental health suffering.

While we aim to reach marginalized populations, HVRC shall exclude NO INDIVIDUAL, thus ALL ARE WELCOME.

CLIENT CENTERED PRACTICES

HVRC uses client-centered practices to ensure that individuals get the help needed specific to the problems that have rendered them in need of treatment. Considering our clients’ past, present, anticipated circumstances, social and economic demographics, and their individual concern, aids in the client’s retention in treatment. Furthermore, we find client-centered practices to be imperative to sustainable and long-term recovery.

COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT

To further aid in successful Client discharge, individuals are thoroughly assessed to determine focus and competency using various peer reviewed and evidence-based practices.

INTEGRATED CARE & COORDINATION

Within HVRC’s comprehensive care practices it is important that client integrated care and coordination includes primary care, mental health services, and social service referrals readily accessible for individuals in need. Case management is imperative and ongoing, with thorough documentation to ensure the quality of care our clients receive and all their needs are addressed.

To the extent possible and appropriate, HVRC encourages and allows Clients to choose their network provider for services needed outside of the scope of what is provided by HVRC services.
